salimSalim Turdaliev is a PhD student at CERGE-EI starting from September 2015. He received his BSc in Economics with Finance (first class honours) from Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) in 2014. During his studies he was a two times nominee for the Dean’s list award in recognition for outstanding and exemplary academic achievement. Upon the graduation, he was employed as a research assistant at WIUT and worked there before joining CERGE-EI in 2015.

His work experience includes internships at such organizations as British council and UNDP, which were undertaken during his bachelor studies. He also worked as a project manager for “De Facto” marketing company during the period 0f 2012-2014.

His research areas include such fields as labor economics, family economics, gender studies, and economics of transition. Salim’s research papers made it to the top 3 and top 15 of the “New Economic Talent” competition by CERGE-EI in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
