On 6 May 2019, the Republican High school of business and management named after Abu Rayhan Beruni under the National Agency for Project Management hosted the summit “Blockchain in Uzbekistan: Perspectives of the digital economy” which is organized jointly with Westminster International University in Tashkent.
Within the framework of the summit, blockchain experts and innovators talked about fundamental elements of the digital economy that affect the competitiveness of many sectors, including finance, supply chain, telecommunications, government, social goods, transport and energy. Among the keynote speakers were experts from Hong Kong, South Korea, Israel and the United States.
On the summit, the following topics were discussed:
-The role of blockchain in achieving market reforms, development goals and economic competitiveness.
-Digital assets: investment, trading and cryptoactive assets exchange.
-Blockchain: the evolution of digital information networks.
-Blockchain in the supply chain, telecommunications and energy sectors.
-Consumer goods and services in the state sector.
